WOMEN IN PARIS: PAST AND PRESENT

Paris is one of the most famous cities in the world, and the history of its women is fascinating.We will visit museums, graves, homes, prisons, studios, castles, cafes, and cathedrals to learn more about Heloise, the medieval French nun, Marie Antoinette, the doomed French queen, Camille Claudel, the French sculptor who spent the last 40 years of her life in an asylum, Marie Curie, the Nobel Prize winner, Suzanne Valadon, the painter of Montmartre, Olympe de Gouges who wrote the "Declaration of the Rights of Women" in 1791, and American women such as Mary Cassatt and Josephine Baker who adopted Paris as their home.
