Deposit
The program deposit of $500 is due 2 weeks after acceptance into the program to secure your spot. Shortly after your term bill is released, your deposit will be credited to your Rutgers student account and you will be responsible for any remaining payments (less any *financial aid or scholarship).

Additional Information
 

Proper financial planning is crucial as winter financial aid does not exist like it does for Fall, Spring or Summer. 
 
If planned properly students might apply for additional loans (federal or private) during the fall semester; possibly generating a refund check that you would use to pay the winter term bill. We advise you to talk to Financial Aid and our office about this process. We also suggest students attend one of our online financial advising sessions ASAP. Online advising sessions occur throughout the academic semester. Dates and registration information are available here: https://global.rutgers.edu/event-calendar. 

There are limited winter scholarships available and are not guaranteed to all who apply. However we ask that you aren't discourage by this information.
With proper financial planning most students are able to fund their winter study abroad experience!
 
The above estimated total expenses are intended to help plan and prepare for the program.  Total expenses will vary by student and are subject to change depending on currency fluctuation, past-participant reports, university recommendations, and personal spending habits. Not all students will incur all the expenses above. Please contact Rutgers Global--Study Abroad about estimated expenses as well as ways to reduce expenses while abroad.

If you will be awarded a scholarship, the award will be posted to your student account according to the normal disbursement schedule after you confirm your attendance. Some non-billable items may be due prior to the release of your semester bill and your financial aid, so students should be prepared to pay these expenses in advance.
