Rutgers
Study Abroad
Orientation

The Center for Global Services hosts an Orientation Program at the beginning of the Fall semester to welcome visiting students to Rutgers University. It is a week-long program filled with activities and events that will help you get acquainted with Rutgers University and the city of New Brunswick.

The Orientation is required, and we strongly suggest that you choose to participate in it. The current fee for the orientation is approximately $85.

The Center for Global Services will hold a one-day orientation program in mid January for Spring semester students. The current fee for the orientation is approximately $50.

Our office will assist you in moving into your on-campus housing and getting settled during
both the Fall and Spring semesters.  We also provide a Buddy Program, where we match up
incoming exchange students with returned Rutgers study abroad students.  These students will
be available to answer questions you may have about the campus, life in New Brunswick,
living in the US, etc. before you arrive.  They will also be available to help you navigate
Rutgers at the start of the semester.  If you are interested in this program, please be sure to indicate
this on your application.

More information about orientation activities will be made available before the start of
your semester.
