Your Host City: Brighton
Brighton is a lively seaside city on England’s south coast, an hour by train from London. It grew to prominence in the late eighteenth century when it was a popular destination for members of the royal family.  Today the city remains popular with day-trippers from London who come to enjoy its seven miles of beaches, pubs, and nightlife.  Brighton is also home to a thriving gay community.  In recent years the city has flourished, giving rise to stylish boutiques and restaurants, festivals, music, and a vibrant arts scene.

Academics
In order to have an idea of what classes are available, you should visit the University of Sussex website.

Each summer session course at Sussex will be worth 4 Rutgers credits.  Students staying for both Sessions I and II will be able to take one course each session worth 4 Rutgers credits each, for a total of 8 credits.

For information about study abroad credit transfer, registration, and transcripts please visit the Academics section of our website.
